Robert Bruce, whose real name is Robert I of Scotland, is a Scottish monarch born July 11, 1274 in Turnberry Castle. He is also the heir of a lineage from the Anglo-Norman baronage. Before being crowned King of the Scots at Scone on March 25, 1306 he was Earl of Carrick and took part in the revolt in the Carrick during the William Wallace uprising.
